Family has it's place, an important one, but everybody doesn't have to live on that model, and in any case, it's not something to be modeled by government.

If China invades Taiwan, it will be interesting to see how their economy reacts to a complete loss of income from exporting to the West, and then to a forced to re-industrialize America.

I agree. free trade must occur inside a moral framework of other considerations.

family formation should be given a slight advantage in a civilized society.

marriage tax incentives are good. child tax credits are good.

That doesn't make sense. I never suggested slavery was part of it. But it comes asymptotically close to it. The goal is to maximize profit and reduce opex and one of the ways to do that is to pay people less and less until they are very close to slaves.

That's how YOUR CURRENT economy works. YOU want cheap goods so YOU SUPPORT NEAR-SLAVERY with your purchases of Chinese goods and even American goods often use prison labor which is pretty damn close to slave labor.
