I explained the NAACP in my last post.

As far as the offense of saying the word "colored people" I don't think a lot of people would be offended, at least none of the black folks I know. I think the term is socially outdated as more people are used to terms like "black" or African-American. Terms like "colored people" were mostly addressed towards African-Americans as opposed to Hispanics and Asians, however terms like "people of color" is an umbrella concept that not only includes blacks but any person of non-white origin.

And if you look up the word, "colored", it means "dappled", or "multi-colored", and not "black", per se. I am one color and not many. Some white people (like Aox) are so stupid.

Why would I paint my face Black, when I have a too good looking White face. All of this hoopla is in reference to DWTS pro dancer Julianne Hough who painted her face dark brown and all hell broke loose out over it. Why would the beautiful Julianne Hough want to paint her face dark brown, unless it was some stupit attempt to get some needed publicity? Also, why did Julianne make that remark about Mark Balis, her former pro dance partner, hogging the spotlight from his amatuer dance partner, just moore stupitity. Julianne must be getting desperate for attention, when she does all these screwups, what else could it be? Blacks like Michael Jackson openly want to look lighter, not darker, so he used a skin lightner, like I bet Poet uses. If you read this Poet and I know that you read everything that I post, Fess up Poet, you want to look like a pretty boy like me, we all know that you do.

Michael Jackson used a skin whitener, not a skin blackener, and every Black that I personally knew tried at one time or the other to straighten out their hair and look moore like a white. This Poet dude is full of bull caca, does he deny that Michael Jackson got lighter as he got older, his brothas tried to say that he had some skin desease, because they did not want to admit the truth about Michael trying to look white, look what he did to his nose, he trurned it into a pinched thin nose, too thin for even a white dude.

I think in your first sentence you answered your own question. As far as MJ is concerned, the man has had a troubled life and struggle we don't know his reason and even if you said was true there is a psychological component of self-hate that drives someone to lighten their skin. On the flip side I could ask why do people get tans?

Since my blood line is from the Mediteraniun area of Europe, I already have an Italian type complexion, but you make a very good point about tanning booths, pasty white does not look as good as Latino brown. I play a lot of golf and I do not wear Sun Screen, but I do not burn, and I am pretty dark right now. As for the great Michael Jackson, I put him into the same category of entertainer as Elvis. Michael's death was sad just like Elvis's and Bruce Lee. There will never be another Elvis, Michael or Bruce Lee.
