It does, however, indicate a trend to increased minority voting; especially with the influx of hispanic voters.

Barring additional Republican voter infringement tactics, election cycles of the future will be difficult on candidates who don't respect the rights of all of their constituents.

Very interesting when you consider that blacks and Hispanics oppose queer marriage. If you remember it was the blacks who scuttled Prop 8 in Commiefornia

What trend? Look at the 2010 elections. Black turnout wasn't near as high as 2008 and 2012 which indicates to me it was excitement over a candidate (in this case Obama) and not necessarily a trend.

Population trend. As the numbers of minorities grow, so will the voter registrations.

Desh's article was talking about voting percentage of each racial group. Whether there are 10 million registered black voters or 20 million registered black voters the comparison the article was making was voting percentage (turn-out).
