I also hear that the improvements in today's economy are all thanks to him, but nobody has explained how or why he deserves the credit, as far as I know.

I get this palpable sense that conservatives are chronically and persistently stressed out about the fact that, in general, black people don't like them, young people don't like them, single women don't like them, college kids don't like them, and not to mention every other demographic that generally finds conservatives to be repulsive. I have only ever noticed this kind of chronic, everlasting resentment in jilted lovers, so there may be some compelling psychiatric research here!
