dec 21 2016 A black man has been arrested and charged with burning an African-American church in Greenville, Miss. last month and defacing its outer walls with “Vote Trump” graffiti.

The Mississippi state police arrested Andrew McClinton, 45, on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree arson of a place of worship, Warren Strain, a spokesman with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety told The Daily Caller.

McClinton allegedly set first to Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where he is a member, on Nov. 1, a week before the election. The fire destroyed 80 percent of the church. A GoFundMe account raised more than $240,000 to repair the facility.

"We do not believe it was politically motivated. There may have been some efforts to make it appear politically motivated,” Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, who also serves as the state fire marshal, told The Associated Press.

Did some research and the fire marshall is a white guy and listed as a repub. Don't know why he said what he said unless he was bribed - like all govt officials are.

its an inspiring story. Black man wanted to help Trump so much he painted vote Trump then burned the building so everyone would see it.

In some cases yes. We have a local news anchor here in Detroit who did something like this. He was in competition with a white guy for the lead anchor position at FOX2. At that time some black churches were being vandalized. By the way, it turned out that two of the churches had been vandalized by the pastor in order to gain sympathy and money. Anyway, the news anchor decided to spray paint the word "nigger" all over his own house. Then he went on the air and made big deal of it and even named some local kids by name, knowing full well they were innocent. Then when he got caught he had to apologize on the air but it really wasn't much of an apology. He got the job anyway and twenty years later that clown is still the anchor at FOX2 and not only that, he's the station's "go-to" guy for issues involving race.
