No, the judge was insulted and that is grounds for contempt. You cannot go into a courtroom and start insulting the judge while he is on the bench in an official capacity. If you do, you can get a contempt charge along with fines or jail time. The defendant decided to be a punk ass and got what he deserved. BTW I would support a black guy getting the same jail time for calling a white judge a "punk ass cracker".
