It was obvious that Floyd was breathing because he was talking.

Nobody can talk while having their airway constricted.

It is physically impossible.

Also, as the prosecution's expert witness was forced to admit, even if the knee had cut off blood flow in one carotid artery, the other side was open with blood flowing freely to what passed for Floyd's "brain".
