It was reassuring to see some bipartisan co-operation in Washington again after so long...the partisan voting on every bill in the Senate and House was getting old....

so I applaud those Democrats and Republicans that finally joined forces to vote against the government takeover of healthcare...though unsuccessful, at least it showed they can work together for the common good....

Yup. There are signs that good things can come once they are forced to work together to get anything done.
 
I wish damo would start a betting pool on the site. I'd bet you guys $100 or $1,000 right now Obama gets another term.

That would be illegal, as far as I understand the law. Certain things are illegal to run gambling on.
