To the algae. You inferred that the algae process would be located near power plants, therefore away from population centers. Algae requires nutrients (waste) to grow. So where does the waste come from if there is no nearby population.

That power plants actually have running water these days?

That algae, like other plants, lives via photosynthesis?

That algae consumes CO2 and NOx?

That power plants (especially coal) produce NOx?

While it is certainly a speculative investment, it is not anywhere near the degree you were making it out to be. The technology works. It is a question now of economic viability. Oil needs to be around the 90-100 brl range for it to compete at this time.
