Challenging a state law in court might be seen in Russia as “going after” the highest government official and deserving therefore of serious punishment, but in this country it’s the absolute right of a citizen, a corporate citizen in this case, which makes the punishment inflicted wrong in every way. I guess it’s not surprising someone groomed on loyalty to Trump would argue this issue as you have, just annoying having to deal with it.

If typical Righties are in sync with the above they believe that stripping a citizen of statutory rights and benefits for the sole reason that the citizen voiced opposition to a government policy is "not punishment anymore" than the citizen's announced effort to seek reversal of the policy is a punishment of the government. Man, if just the announcement deserves that kind of government axe to the neck you have to wonder what would happen to Disney if it actually did something.
