You can't be serious. You think a dealer can get his childhood medical records if he's buying a gun as an adult? Furthermore, this is the rule: "Anyone who has purchased a gun recently is familiar with the mental health question that appears on both the federal and state gun-purchase applications: “Have you ever been declared incompetent or involuntarily committed to a mental institution?” Gates didn't say either of those applied to him.

Dealers don't do background checks,....the FBI does them

So you just answer the question "NO".....and buy a gun, huh....

Kinda like asking a voter if he or she is a citizen....they just answer "YES" and get to vote....

Meaningless questions with no teeth ?.....a total farce.....

True about the dealers, they just fill out the form.

A dealer doesn't get anything except a yes, no, or hold for the background check. Now the NICS....
 
The argument in the OP doesn't make much sense though. What's far more concerning is this man committing a felony while president....
