Bill Clinton's Plan to Save the Economy

I like that hes opening his mind to this theory however is a flaw in application. Alot of times democrats come up with great theories but leave out the human element like with the health-care plan. Then when theory doesn't not equate to actual practice they are not measured on it or penalized and basically point fingers that its not there fault. Democrats need to do a better job in there assumptions when creating theory.

The biggest glaring one I see with this theory is again human element. Some people dont want to work when they are receiving a free check in the mail every week... and additionally some companies dont want to fill open positions with people they have to train, dont fit the culture, or that dont really want to be there.

The vast majority of healthy human beings want to improve their lot in life. One can not make policy based on a few lazy, booze/drug takers.

You don't work with people much, do you?

This is all well and good, but pretending that the bulk of the unemployment problem is structural and the worker's fault instead of the result of severely depressed demand, the business cycles and shitty policy responses thereto is garbage.

I'd say the Spanish welfare system is a case example of where your argument can be shot to pieces, but, traditionally, American culture has produced a big work ethic that has not entired burned out yet.
