Bill Cassidy courageous vote for truth

I was surprised that happened. It means that one Republican listened to the evidence and made up his mind. Maybe others will follow. Or not. Either way, there are now six Republicans that are probably going to vote to convict, and maybe more. The stain or Trump will hang with the rest of them forever. They won't be able to win a student council race.

Which means Bill will face a challenge from a Trump candidate in a primary the next time he is running, Trump’s probably already sent feelers to Louisiana to search out the next Matt Gaetz

They may not vote to convict; I see this as a vote that the Senate has the power to hold this trial, that it’s Constitutional and within the power of the Senate.

I think they are willing to listen to the evidence which is a good sign, but we’ll see if they convict.

If they just got together and showed some guts this would be there best chance to push Trump out and reclaim their party.
Secretly all but a few would prefer that happen.

He's not up for reelection in 2022.

Hello Concart,

I'm not so sure I would make that assumption, but I expect at least Mitt.
