Big protest in Miami?

Most likely, but he will appeal and hope a Republican president pardons him before the appeal is done.

The next republican president will certainly pardon him.

He can hope all he wants, but I doubt a Republican would pardon him....at least a Republican who wants to win reelection. LOL

Mr. Owl thinks he'll be pardoned too. Why do you think that would affect an (R) POTUS's re-election? It's not like (D)s would vote for him/her anyways.

Maybe you are right… I bet DeSantis would.

It would require Trumps base to abandon him. DeSantis is depending on Trumps base.

The 40% voting block of Independents and the third of Republicans who support the indictments. While the Independents may vote the Republican out of office, the third of Republicans may just stay home or vote Third Party. Either way, it would be risky for a first term Republican to pardon Trump for all of his crimes if convicted...which I suspect he will be.

Not surprisingly, an overwhelming majority (86%) of self-identified Democrats believe the former president should have been charged. On the other hand, Republicans remain mostly loyal to Trump, with two in three (67%) saying the former president and current frontrunner for the Republican nomination should not have been charged. Independents are more divided, with 45% believing he should have been charged, a third saying he should not have been, and 22% saying they don't know.

trump's too dumb to understand that. He'll just gloat for the rest of his life that he was innocent.

A pardon is an act of mercy, not a declaration of innocence. But you're right.

I just think it's hilarious that Republicans are going to nominate a twice-indicted, twice-impeached, sexual assaulter, and failed one term president as their nominee.
