Big Brother takes a bite out of Apple phone

Now Apple is saying that THEY want the FBI to share how they were able to do this and are threatening taking this to Court.

OHH, THE IRONY.

First the FBI was threatening to take Apple to Court and try to make them unlock the phone and now Apple is threatening to take the FBI to Court and force them to explain how they unlocked the phone.

THIS IS FUNNIER THEN ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED.

I don't know. Apparently there is a law on the books which allows companies to sue for information about how their products were abused or tampered with. I'm assuming it's a subset of industrial espionage law. Of course, the FBI will argue national security, public interest, and that the government is not inherently a player to industrial espionage, and therefore not a threat to Apple's commercial interests.
 
Not the same thing. Apple could have unlocked the phone without telling the FBI how it's done. This case is arguably bigger to Apple than simply dishing out payback to the FBI.

I believe that Apple would have a case, if the FBI had revealed HOW it was done.
