Each time they try to blame Russia for higher gas prices it just shows their total lack of understanding of market economics. Since Russia is selling more oil than before (to China, India and Turkey alone) and oil is fungible their sanction has actually worked to enrich Russia and to lower the gas prices as their oil is still in the fungible pool. The more China buys from Russia the more oil is available from US approved dictator sourcing. The rise in cost is not due to a lack of Russian oil, because there is no lack. While their Dictator is not approved by the US, it has not stopped them from selling their oil.
 
Blaming Russia increases hatred of Russia. As long as hatred of Russia is stronger than hatred for the sleaze of government then all is well and the profiteering can continue.
