That's their Great Value brand (cheapy brand) of large eggs and they were $5.92 at the wally i was just at. They've been $5 for the last month and i was expecting a price drop!!! A year ago the same thing was a 98 cents.

Can Pedo Joe do anything right outside of groping little girls.??

Using eggs is a bad idea....because they have a special problem. That viruses are increasingly hitting our domestic animals that we use for food is a huge problem, and our experts clearly dont know what to do about that and have failed to solve the problem up till now, which means that food prices go up.....but that is not part of the general inflation program...which is here on purpose because global debt levels must be defaulted on....there is no choice on that. Our economy managers have decided to use inflation to default....they pay back debt with more worthless dollars than the dollars that were borrowed.
 
Something else that is driving up egg prices is some states are cracking down on these factory farms where the hens live such miserable lives.

GMA was talking about the egg price inflation this morn. Said some stores now charge $8 a dozen!!! The incompetence of fearless leader Pedo Joe boggles the mind.
 
It's about to get even more expensive here in CO as the governor who acted all sane before the election almost immediately signed a law requiring all eggs to be free range eggs just after he was reelected. That wasn't the craziest law he signed but one that definitely points to it... LOL

Agreed that Tranny Dick using eggs as an example of inflation is stupid due to the Avian Flu pandemic.

Maybe someone will convince him that if more chickens and turkeys had a vaccination, enough would survive to bring prices down. LOL

I’m guessing he’ll relent on that until the Avian Flu problem passes….or he’ll face the wrath of voters.

OTOH, chickens lay an egg a day. Three chickens would provide my wife and I all the eggs we need. They also eat bugs around the yard so that’s a twofer. I used to have four chickens but lost them to some dogs and, since eggs were cheap, didn’t replace them. I may have to reconsider by Spring.

The article I saw said the CO law mandates cage free eggs.

That's not the same as free range eggs. I have a choice between buying cage free or free range, and I always buy free range.

Any society that is willing to overlook extreme physical abuse and torture of domestic farm animals is a society seriously in need of moral self reflection.

And...you cannot compare the quality/flavor of a fresh egg to one from a supermarket.

I don't eat eggs anymore, but many years ago I raised layers and meat birds.

Good food. When I left the mountains it took years for me to be able to eat store bought eggs/chicken.
 
Eggs should cost much, much more than that.

The hens are not living in humane conditions.

The extent of under-regulation in our private sector makes us a highly immoral nation at our core.
