Biden will inherit Trump’s Peace Legacy

Biden will bend over like all Democrats do. Especially if there is a buck for his family to make out of it.

No one can come close to Dotard's ankle grabbing for a buck.

Trump stands to gain from an Indonesian project that got a $500 million loan right before he flip-flopped on ZTE.

They were under sanctions for selling supplies to Iran and N. Korea.

On April 15, the Commerce Department hit ZTE again, saying that despite the earlier fine and settlement, ZTE had continued to violate US sanctions law and lie to the US government. The new order simply barred American companies from selling anything to ZTE.

On May 11, a state-owned Chinese construction company called the Metallurgical Corporation of China announced it would float a $500 million loan to Indonesian developers to facilitate the construction of a vast “integrated lifestyle resort” called MNC Lido City that includes Trump-branded hotels, residences, and a golf course.

On May 13, Trump tweeted: “President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!”

On May 14, Trump tweeted about ZTE again: “ZTE, the large Chinese phone company, buys a big percentage of individual parts from U.S. companies. This is also reflective of the larger trade deal we are negotiating with China and my personal relationship with President Xi.”

Not only has Trump brought more peace to the Middle East, more comprehensively and faster than all of his predecessors combined, but he made it look easy. Israel's ties with its Abraham Accords partners are expanding massively by the day. Tourists from the UAE are streaming into the country. And with one in seven Israeli Jews descended from the Moroccan diaspora, the potential for business and cultural ties between Israel and Morocco is almost limitless.

Trump's sundry Middle East peace deals are humiliating for his predecessors. Not only did they fail where Trump has succeeded, but they insisted that his achievements were impossible.

Will Biden build on Trump’s legacy in the Middle East or squander it? Wish I could say I was hopeful—I see no reason to be.

And there’s an argument to made that Trump is the best foreign policy president since Reagan—especially, given what was handed to him by his *failed predecessors*.

But because it’s Trump, it will largely go unheralded except by the ‘non-approved’ pundit class but maybe historians will treat him more fairly. No Peace Prize even though his four years were historic in bringing peace to one of the most troubled places on the planet.

Not too shabby for a supposed no-nothing outsider. Maybe we need more of them.

bs Yet a President Biden and team will deal with Putin's lawlessly hacked in tRump's sh!t legacy on humanity to work on turning the atrocity around to become a productive President Biden and Team legacy. There I fixed it for you.

Very likely true.

I am amazed how few people seem to know this, even people who are advertised as experts..... everyone seems to be living by rear view mirror...."They have long hated each other, you have to be wrong".

Things change....things have changed.

Will you be defining them??

Are you being obtuse lol?

Economic nationalism is putting US interests ahead of everyone else’s—like practically all other nations do. China has refined this philosophy to a very high level. No matter what treaty they enter into its assured that China will come out on top.

Transactional policies are give and take policies—we give something, we want something in return. An upside down version of it was our relationship with NATO: in order to prove to Europe what nice people we were, NATO was largely funded with US tax dollars even though a large ocean separated US taxpayers from any threat NATO was implemented to protect Europe from.

If you think that doesn’t make a damn bit of sense then, again, you may be a six pack away from being a Trump supporter.

"Anytime you’re dealing with an inefficient behemoth like our federal government you can expect a large moment of inertia before things get rolling. It’s the nature of the beast. I won’t say it’s unfair to criticize Trump for it since he’s chief executive but it’s naive to think it would be any different with anyone else on top".

The government had plenty of time to organize, the private sector doing the distribution have it right, they just have no direction from the top.
Pfizer stated they have plenty of the vaccine in stock, ready to ship, they just need to know where and when to ship it.
They can't get an answer from the government, then, the Trump regime makes a statement it's Pfizers fault?

Has nothing to with regulations, it does have everything to do with bureaucracy, Trump's bureaucracy.

Ridiculous, Trump inherited the bureaucracy just like any other president. If you want a large government then you have to accept that it’s going to be largely inefficient no matter who sits at the top.

It’s the nature of the beast. Just getting the FDA to move was like pulling teeth. No other country took as long to approve the vaccine.

Really?

Didn't Dotard "drain the swam"?

Dotard is the one who hired HHS Alex Azar two years ago.

Azar was a an HHS deputy secretary for Bush, supervising operations.

Azar was also a president of Eli Lilly for 5 years.

This is the guy who blamed Pfizer for the delay and shortage.

"Millions of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are languishing in warehouses awaiting shipment instructions from the Trump administration"

"Officials in several states said they were told Wednesday that their second shipments of Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine next week has been mysteriously reduced".

Germany is “optimistic” that the European Medicines Agency will be able to make a decision by Dec. 23, Health Minister Jens Spahn said in Berlin on Tuesday. The EMA had previously said an advisory board would convene by Dec. 29 to make a recommendation on the application; approval would come within days after that.

The Swamp out lasted Trump and you’re delusional if you think it could be drained in one term.

It’s all ok now though. The Biden regime will soon be installed and our government bureaucracies will be running like a well oiled machine.

The Palestinians were the people displaced, so THAT was the 'Middle East Problem', not trade with the Gulf States.
No one is against Israel being 'recognized' by other States.

Afghanistan may or may not become a 'failed State', a 'Terrorist Haven', if we leave haphazardly. There doesn't seem to be a consensus on this.

Syrian Kurds. After the Kurds did all the heavy lifting of getting rid of ISIS in Syria, Trump stabs them in the back. NOT something to be proud of.

"The Kurds Have Paid Dearly for Trump’s Recklessness"
https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/a...ly-for-trump-s-reckless-withdrawal-from-syria

"On Trump’s orders, the small group of U.S. Special Forces that had served as a buffer between the U.S.-aligned Kurdish militia and the Turkish army left their posts last year, clearing the way for a Turkish invasion. That impetuous decision forced Kurdish troops, which had done most of the fighting to destroy Islamic State’s caliphate, to align with Damascus in Syria’s civil war, and by extension Russia and Iran."

Biden hasnt got any troubles- except China- unless he goes looking for them by listening to Blinken

So you think the economy is just peachy because the Dow is over 30K? You think Biden's election just magically erased social injustice? You don't think that the prior administration spent four years degrading the EPA and along with it the environment? Climate change is so last decade? Illegals are no longer cruising over the border?

Trump turning away intelligence briefers since election win - The Washington Post

President-elect Donald Trump has received two classified intelligence briefings since his surprise election victory earlier this month, a frequency that is notably lower — at least so far — than that of his predecessors, current and former U.S. officials said.
A team of intelligence analysts has been prepared to deliver daily briefings on global developments and security threats to Trump in the two weeks since he won. Vice President-elect Mike Pence, by contrast, has set aside time for intelligence briefings almost every day since the election, officials said.

Mr. Trump has not had a briefing led by his designated briefer, the veteran intelligence officer Beth Sanner, in more than a month, people familiar with the matter said. The last formal intelligence briefing led by Ms. Sanner was scheduled for Oct. 2

Then, now, and all the way through, Trump did/doesn't do his damn job.

first off that was a post about foreign policy/war
2nd as to the economy -no it's not good at all, and while the recovery has been "V " shaped - it's slowing down and we still have sectors of the economy closed or on reduced footing
One figure I recall was we lost 10,000 restaurants - one's not going to reopen

No the EPA wasn't "degraded" that's just hyperbole on your part

The Caravans were shut down by Trump / if the wall were finished that would greatly stop illegal crossing
Biden promises to fuck up those situations by repealing REMAIN, and not doing construction
The new wall is mostly in Az. it's been forcing the migrants further into desert crossings
walls do work -worldwide

President Trump Has the Work Ethic of a Bored, Lazy Child (newsweek.com)

Evidence of that work ethic, however, is lacking, as the six-month mark of his term in office approaches. Presidents customarily use their initial months in office to enact their most ambitious proposals, especially if they have a friendly Congress disposed to hand them victories. Trump has such a Congress, and he has promised his supporters so much winning, they'd be pleading for a winless streak.
Yet many reports show him disengaged from the daily business of governing, uninterested in policy details and strikingly, disturbingly incurious about the enormous federal apparatus he now commands.
