Biden: We Didn’t Have the Vaccine When We Came into Office

President Joe Biden said during a CNN town hall on Tuesday that when he came into office, they “didn’t have” the coronavirus vaccine.

Biden made the statement despite health care workers receiving the first doses in mid-December 2020, well over a month before he was sworn in.

Biden said, “There’s just not all of a sudden 600 million doses are going to appear. What’s going to happen is it’s going to continue to increase as we move along, and we’ll have reached 400 million by the end of May and 600 million by the end of July. The biggest thing, though, as you remember, when you and I— I shouldn’t say it that way as you remember— when you and I talked last we talked about, it’s one thing to have the vaccine, which we didn’t have when we came into office , but a vaccinator. How do you get the vaccine into someone’s arm?”

I don’t suppose any “fact checkers” picked up on this.

Kamala was vaccinated live in December so I guess her on air vaccine may have all been faked. Since there was no vaccine when Biden took office:laugh:

Wow, every time the fool speaks he lies again.

It's also sad how he believes the vaccine just magically appeared when he was sworn in.

What a complete idiot.

I mean seriously, you have to try to be that stupid because that's not natural.

Didn't he also claim he was in a helicopter during a fire fight and that he was arrested while trying to visit Nelson Mandela in jail and that he graduated near the top of his law school class but was actually near the bottom? With that wouldn't it be reasonable to question anything he said?

They’re pushing the narrative that they came into a mess.

The reality is, it’s starting to look like the COVID war was largely won under Trump.

The context was pretty clear watching it - they didn't have what they needed in terms of the #'s.

He made changes to that immediately. 6 EO's on the 1st day. We ramped up fast - from roughly 1 million a week under Trump (who was doing nothing), to an average of 1.5 million a day under Biden.

How can anyone dispute those results w/ a straight face? If Trump won a 2nd term, there is no way we'd be on track for immunity by summer. He was doing his usual finger-pointing thing and blaming everyone else.

Dude, if Trump gets ‘credit’ for the misfortune of presiding over a national lockdown and the resulting economy, then he gets credit for passing off some good COVID numbers to his successor.

But, he didn't. That's the thing.

I mean - I get that CNN & the rest are biased. But they do report the news. Trump supporters really have to start watching something that resembles the news.

What did Trump do? The facts speak for themselves. The pace of vaccinations when he left office was anemic. Biden made immediate changes and got dramatic results.

It's not a debate.

Trump's COVID leadership will go down in the history books as ignoring it, downplaying it, creating confusion about it, and making jokes about what it should be called.

Warp Speed removed restrictions for developing a vaccine, which any Prez would have done. When it was developed and ready, Trump literally did nothing.

We didn't have the vaccine = The supposed stockpile of vaccine didn't exist.

Can someone change volsrock's diaper. It's full.

Actually, you have to be stupid not to understand what the President was saying. But then, you are galactically stupid, so no surprise you don't have a clue.

It’s not a debate the COVID numbers are receding. Lord willing, this is the beginning of the end: if so, history will record that the COVID war was largely won under Trump before it was handed off to Biden.

Can someone name the actions Trump took to increase the rate of vaccinations from a million a week to 1.5 million a day?

Please be specific.

The vaccines to which Biden referred
to his not having
were the specific stockpile
that the orangutan had deceitfully claimed was there and ready.

This was made obvious in Biden's comments.
By your logic,
we have no shortage of powdered wigs
because renown portraits clearly indicate one on George Washington's head.

We weren’t even supposed to have vaccines, remember? Trump was scoffed at for saying we’d have vaccines by the end of 2020.

Yet here we are.

So, you can't name the specific actions Trump took that accounted for the dramatic increase in the # of vaccinations? (coincidentally, right after he left office?)
