Trumpism was a populist idea. Trumpism fell on it's own sword!
Trumpism was like burning a candle on both ends and from the middle too- in the way it divides people up- even it's own people.
You can divide and divide people till there is no one left standing with you- and that is rapidly becoming Donald Trump and his TRUMPISM's largest problem now!
Trunptards everywhere are realizing that Donald Trump was all about himself- and not about them in the first place.
Trumptards do not listen to anyone- SO they have to learn all the consequences of supporting him on their own through rejection at the voter's booth!
They really never understand it, but they fear losing elections more than they fear abortions becoming legal, or more than their fascination with children's sex organs and orientations, or their hatred for minorities, or their concern with illegal immigrants, or their dismay of the current price of gasoline or groceries.
The fear of losing elections is the Republicans greatest fear, and number one concern- AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE!
And just so you will know, what Republicans 2nd largest concern is- Republicans also fear the outcome of a Supreme Court Decision that does not go their way, 2nd to only an election that does not go their way! Republicans have even relied on the Supreme Court to choose one of their president for them!
Republicanism is all about getting everything your way- AND ONLY YOUR WAY! Elections, decisions, everything!

What the f are you talking about? twump lost 40 seats in his first midterm, I think Obama lost 60. The only reason W. did well in his first is that his approval ratings were sky high after 9/11. W. got creamed the first midterm of his second term and fired Turd Blossom (Karl Rove).

In his first midterm he kept the Senate but lost it when he lost in 2020.
Fear of losing elections, yes, because they've been program to fear, "the other". "The Other" is whomever the hate du jour is - in twumps case it was Muslims, blacks, Jews, and Latinos.

This is one of the least first midterm shifts we have had in recent history. Republicans might barely win the House, but they also might not. Worse yet, Democrats lead in the popular vote by 9%.
Republicans are dying of old age, smoking, drugs, poor diets, etc., and being replaced by people who could never support the current Republicans. This is only going to get worse for them.
