Trump declassified the documents.
You have zero proof of that. In fact his attorneys were asked by a judge in court if the documents were declassified, and they refused to say so.
Trump declassified the documents.
Of course, you can furnish a link to that effect, or is this just your somewhat jaded opinion.
Sec. 1.3. Classification Authority.
(a) The authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by:
(1) the President and, in the performance of executive duties, the Vice President;
(2) agency heads and officials designated by the President in the Federal Register; and
(3) United States Government officials delegated this authority pursuant to paragraph (c) of this section.
I built a 2008 Shelby GT 500 solely to destroy Z06s I love to watch their owners faces. I'm thinking about picking up a Pantera to twin turbo it to beat the new Corvette Z06. I love to watch a guy that just bought something that is fast get beat by the guy that built something fast. I figure it will take a mid engine platform to do it.YOLO
I can indeed. And I'll quote the relevant portion to you:
The link (from the archives.gov website): https://www.archives.gov/about/laws/appendix/12958.html
Since it is the same as the authority to classify documents (the power is the same and the list too), please note that it is only in his exercise of executive authority (when he is acting as President) that he can do it read it twice and slowly I know it takes a bit for the Florida Folks to get things in their punkin' heads, bless their hearts:
I hate proving stupid people wrong, they never accept it...
I guess you didn't bother to read my post which refers you to executive order #13526 dated in 2009, well after the dates of your post.
Show us a quote that would authorize Biden to declassify documents that someone else first classified.
uh dude......that link (which you hadn't provided before) says this so called "authority" is not constitutional but based on an executive order........show us where Obama has the power to grant that authority to the VP.......
now about the documents he has from his days as senator......
Show us a quote that would authorize Biden to declassify documents that someone else first classified.
I have a great idea....start a thread about Trump and ask that question......Now aside from this why did trump not return the documents when requested. Why did he lie about them? Then we ask, why he took them in the first place?

Specifically show us the quote that you think gave Biden the authority to declassify documents that he did not originally classify. Because the EO does not give Biden that authority. So show us specifically what you mean.I posted the executive order allowing him to do so. Next?

maybe read the executive order, sweetie. I guarantee you never did
You would be guaranteeing something wrong sugar dumpling now stop stalling and put up or shut up.
I'm not interested in a Libratard lawyer opinion who is trying to throw Biden shade. I want YOU to quote the portion of the law that YOU think gives Biden the authority to declassify documents that he didn't first classify. Stop stalling. BTW no one is arguing the fact that the VP can classify a document. BUT A VP CANNOT declassify a document that the President classified. Now AGAIN show me where YOU think the EO gave Biden the authority to declassify documents that he did not first classify. STOP stalling.Richard Immerman, a historian and professor at Temple University, agrees. Biden had the ability to declassify documents when he served as vice president during the Obama administration, he said in an email.
A vice president’s authority to declassify information stems from Executive Order 13526, which former President Barack Obama issued in 2009 when Biden was vice president. That order specifies who is allowed to classify and declassify information.
It says that “the authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by the President and Vice President,” as well as “agency heads and officials designated by the president.”
There are four categories of people who can declassify a document under the executive order: the official who originally classified it, their successor, a supervisory official of either the originator or their successor, or officials given declassification authority in writing by an agency head.
The executive order “explicitly names the vice president as one of the original classification authorities,” which means they could declassify any information their office originally classified, McClanahan explained.

Are they in his house? Access to the documents for Senators is limited and within the SCIF. If he has documents at his house from the time he was a Senator, then he took documents home that he should not have taken home.
The had to be viewed in a SCIF. His home is not a SCIF.
OK then where in the EO (which has the force of law ) does it say a VP can declassify something that he didn't first classify. Do you think if Obama classified something VP Biden could have declassified it?There is no "law" sweetie pie, it was an executive order, which is there for you to read.
