I haven't had an incandescent lightbulb in my house in years. The slightly added cost is more than made up by the LED life span.

I'm pretty sure you can find LED equivalents in most sizes these days, as well as LEDs that do a bang up job of looking like incandescents. The only situations where you might actually need incandescent is for like an oven light where you need the ability to withstand heat.

Bulb manufacturers aren't allowed any longer to make inferior products, just like meat packers aren't allowed to package tainted meats and sell them to your hog family, even though you and your family might like the taste of shit and appreciate the cheaper price.

Sure, the new bulbs may reduce emissions, they may last longer, they may save us money in the long run but by forcing us to buy them it is limiting our freedom.
