I do not think a reasoned discussion can be had with an American conservative. American conservatism has become an ideology searching for a reason for existing. As I see it, the American conservative value system mostly involves considering anyone who is not totally dedicated to American conservatism to be a "liberal"...and to hate and despise anything and everything proposed by any liberal or progressive. I think American conservatism will be viewed by future historians the way the Church during the Dark Ages is viewed by many of today's historians.

Mitch McConnell said it best when he started the Barak Obama first term vowing to make the former president a one-termer, by opposing everything he suggested.

Hello Frank!

How do you golf with your conservative friends if you do not converse? I'd think that would make for a boring game. Do you ride in the golf cart alone?
We have a good reason for existence, Frank. We love this country and wish to keep it on track with our founding fathers. You don't see conservatives
burning and looting cities. You don't see conservatives tearing down monuments. You don't see conservatives changing sports team's and school names.
We aren't "offended" by our country's history, we prefer to learn from it, not hide it. Perfect? Nope. We are not. But, we're still the most powerful and best
damn country on earth when it comes to personal freedoms. We conservatives want to keep us that way. Liberals want turn us into a weak socialist country.

Look at what's going on in our country, Frank. Look at all the names and insults you liberals throw at us. Look at what you liberals say about those of us with
spiritual beliefs. Look at all the names and accusations YOU toss our way. You say it's our side that is nuts? People living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
