If that were true, she wold have won. What happened was that former Democrats crossed over and voted Trump and a large section of Democrats, pissed off at Bernie, stayed home. Republicans voted as usual thus tipping the unexpected win.

What happened is Trump awoke a sleeping giant ... Hillary was a dead candidate walking ... when she could stand up ... no energy ... no ideas ... and a detestable person.

Although I think Trump still has the edge, this year all of the Democrats are pissed off and will have a record turnout while more Republicans are disappointed in Trump blowing up the deficit and national debt...not to mention his loony ideas and fucking up the COVID-19 response.

You can run Uncle Joe on that platform if you want ... there aren't any more anti-Trump resistance neoprogs to attract with it ... you have them already.

Uncle Joe is not going to excite anyone to vote for him ... President Trump's supporters are chomping at the bit to vote.

I viewed it as a normal election. Rep/Dem will always vote for their party. Independents decide the election.

trump was successful at tricking enough fence sitters to take a shot. Hillary had the worst favorability rating of any candidate ever...save for trump. But those who didn't know trump fell for his lies. 'I'll give you much better health insurance at a fraction of the cost. It will be so easy'.

'When I'm president, no jobs will be leaving the country'. He tricked just enough union members into thinking that manufacturing will come back to the Michigan region. And...he incited closet racists who never voted before, to come out in droves.

A good number of Bernie bots voted for trump out of anger.

Libertarianism doesn't work. There are no Libertarian govts/economic models in the world. Most who think they're libertarians don't think it through. Of course, now that we have (crumbling) infrastructure, people think that the private sector can take control and run things smoothly.
