Now, GOP leaders are blaming surging fuel costs in part on a decision by President Biden early in his administration to block the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who has urged the Biden administration to ramp up domestic oil production, said in a tweet the day before Russia's February 24 attack that the Keystone project would have produced 830,000 barrels of crude per day.

The administration sought to emphasize that it was trying to reopen drilling responsibly.

"For too long, the federal oil and gas leasing programs have prioritized the wants of extractive industries above local communities, the natural environment, the impact on our air and water, the needs of Tribal Nations, and, moreover, other uses of our shared public lands."

So Biden admits that his administration needs to start leasing on Federal lands again. Good that it is a election year. Now lets get the XL Pipeline built to. If Biden had not killed that we would be getting 900,000 barrels of Canadian crude a day NOW.

There are already over 9,000 open oil leases on federal lands that aren't even being used.

The oil companies cut back oil production to keep the prices up.

Has nothing to do with Biden.
