Fact: trump met with the Taliban with nobody from the Afghan govt. present. He surrendered, and gave a date that the U.S would be out. Biden went months past that date, and the Taliban was preparing to begin attacks again because trump was driven out of office in shame

strategic planning is used to set long term goals and outline how you are going to get there,
tactical planning outlines the specific actions you are going to take along the way.

here's how it works: (ex)
A general wants to take 'the hill' - he might outline a pincer movement (ex)
that's his strategy

a tactician looks at what troops to use where and when, what the lay of the land is, and gives specific orders to accomplish the strategic goals
