Bid to legalize pot is counter to U.S. trend

if you support or drink alcohol, it is hypocritical to not support the legalization of marijuana...

the arguments against marijuana in this thread have been underwhelming....people who drink also drink to get drunk, people who smoke pot also do so socially to relax and unwind at the end of the day....

stop believing the false government propaganda against people who smoke weed and good lord, let's hope you not getting your "information" from movies that portray pot heads in a comical way, if so, then watching animal house proves that people only drink to get drunk

The dude thinks this is a most excellent way to frame it.

Since you have your pink panties in a wad over this I'll explain your first logical fallacy in some detail.

I wrote: "We're not talking cancer patients but the population as a whole." Obviously I am talking about the population that does not suffer from cancer.

And you turn this into: "Are you going to try and claim cancer patients AREN'T a part of the population as a whole?" Your caricature of my argument is that I am trying to claim that cancer patients aren't part of the population.

Your caricature of my argument is silly, and totally unrelated to the point that I had made: a classic straw man.

You're the person trying to exclude cancer patients and their treatments from the discussion, and it's no wonder, if you included them, you'd have NO legs to stand on.

And to use that as an excuse to duck out on responding to the rest of the points I've made is cowards way out...but not unexpected coming from a "man" like you.

I see that you are embarrassed at being exposed for attempting your straw man and are now resorting to an ad hominem attack, another logical fallacy. :)

a doctor that believed marijuana would not help the particular patient

marijuana helps and is a medicine, however, just like any other prescription medicine, marijuana is not for all

There are some people that should not use pot. Mainly the one's who are allergic to it.But just because some people might be allergic doesn't mean it should be out lawed for everyone.
