Biblical question?

If Jesus was crucified on Good Friday, and rose from the dead three days later…..

How did he arise on Easter Sunday?

I guess I thought this thread was about something else. I met this girl on kink.com. She wants me to dominate her and then switch and have me orally please her with no time limit today. In short - I thought this was about getting to know people in the "biblical sense". Might you direct me to the correct section of this forum for that type of discussion?

Thank you so much.

Don't the ancient Jews have some weird rule about when a day actually starts? They weren't using the same criteria we are of a midnight to midnight cycle.

The Truth? I almost hate to say it because it could offend some,.....but the truth is the truth and Easter is not a Christian holiday. Nor is Christmas for that matter. We celebrate neither in my home. Easter is a pagan holiday. Comes from Ishtar. Sexuality/ fertility/ rebirth.....Thus the egg and the little bunny wabbits. If you really get into it , how Ishtar was celebrated back when it all started is pretty dark stuff.

Hosea 4:6

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children "

In the Bible a portion of the day is counted as a full day. And they start counting on the day Friday (day one) Saturday (day two) Sunday (day three). The Jews didn't count days like we do. There are numerous example in the Bible of how they counted. One example can be seen in Ester 4:16 and Ester 5:1

We have a big statue of old Ishtar on Ellis island. The Romans called her Libertas. Was not the kind of LIBERTY we think of today. It was sexual Liberty/anything goes.

Stone you seem to know the Bible. Do you believe in the 10 Commandments

Yes it was a fertility holiday that celebrated the "rebirth" of the Earth after winter.

We don't have a fantasy section.

Imagine if you actually believed what Jesus taught

The older I get the more I learn. I have learned that IMO the Bible should AT MOST be read sentence by sentence, sometimes even word by word. Peoples minds tend to want to fill in the blanks and make the Bible mean what they want it to mean, or what they THINK it means due to pre conceived notions. Now I like to read one sentence,....STOP....Make sure I know the full meaning of every last word in that sentence and the context it was spoken in. By doing that sometimes the Bible can have a different meaning then what you may have thought it meant. I also pray for Wisdom and understanding when I am reading.

sage advice. I do the same with Buddhist suttas, but they are not gods word
and Buddha never claimed it.. much easier to read then all the allegories and references in the Bible

But the Bible (New Testament) is about forgiveness and compassion - things we have to learn so we dont just react to being slighted

I also am coming to believe that politics is one of the most evil things that has ever come to pass because it causes sooooooooo much division and conflict that need not exist.
