One problem:

If the U.S. continues to insist on spending like drunken sailors, and increasing our debt, petrodollars from oil producing countries are what helps prop our debt up.

Without petrodollars, and without a willingness to reduce the national debt, we'll have to find more sources to invest in our debt. Maybe China will step up to the plate, and inherit more of our debt. But, I don't like the sound of that.


In short, the Bush debt will have to be addressed as we wean ourselves off of petrodollar-financed debt.
