Best argument ive seen as to why Islam is the problem

There is no way that you, Seahawk & Yurt all just happen to have this obsession.

Like how lefties generalize the right?

Lefties like Thingy say it's dangerous to generalize a huge group by a very small percentage of their members until the situation involves the misuse of a gun. Then, rules that apply to ALL gun owners must be put into place because just ONE person did something.

Making Islam the problem will get us nowhere as it inevitably conflates the religion with its practitioners. There are many ways to practice Islam; and obviously, not all Muslims are terrorists.

The better way to frame it is 'what do we do about the problem *within* Islam?' Progressives tend to deny the question with vapid appeals to numbers [Radical Muslims represent 0.0001% of the total Muslim population] or equally vapid equivalencies [invoking the Klan or the Crusaders] involving, almost exclusively, Christianity.

See: Obama's high horse proclamation after the Orlando shooting as a case of the latter.

Only the most determined denialist would deny the fact that there's a problem, within, Islam. Even discounting ISIS, hardly a month goes by without an act of Muslim terrorism. Women, gays and religious minorities are discriminated against and often brutally murdered in places where sharia law is enforced by Muslim majorities---and on and on. One can write a large paragraph just covering the litany of misery inflicted on innocent people by *some* Muslims practicing their interpretation of Islam.

It's just a bare bones fact, that there's a problem within Islam. Which is where any rational discussion should begin---with the facts.

What's to be done about it is another question.

You have 15 years of statistics that document that over 90% of the terrorism in the world over that period of time has been Islamo Fascist terrorism.

There is nothing even close if you combine al the violence of Jews, Christians, and Atheists and non religious, (the other 6 billion people who live on this same planet).

Why the fuck do you hate Jews so much: gay Viking?

Yer either a liar, and a bigot, or dumber then an extra stupid dog turd.

How many people did the Jews kill in all those years idiot?
That isn't any proof at all.

Obviously, gay Viking: you are an anti Jew bigot, as are many Liberal/Progressive/Marxist/Statist/Fascist termites.

In my experience hard Left fucked up bigots like you are gonna ignore all the evidence that their views are bigoted, after all that is what makes you a fucked up bigot.

carry on... pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft...

This is the first post of yours, ever, that I have liked a lot of.

But why is the appeal to #'s "vapid?" Too many lump them all in together, and you know that. It has led to a lot of discrimination & unwarranted persecution. That is my only dog in the fight as a freedom & equality-loving American. Truth is, I dislike all religion, including Islam. But I will always fight for the rights of Muslims, Christians & the rest to worship whoever & whatever they want.

But the #'s argument isn't vapid. It's a dose of rationality amid the hysteria.

the numbers show that there is a structural problem with islam itself and we need to be realistic about that. If we were in a production line and QA showed that 95% of all production defects were coming from 1 line which holds something like 20% of production while the remaining 80% of production held the 20% that line should definetly be looked at.

At some point after knowing all this the muslims have to be held accountable for choosing to stay in their religion despite all the problems in it.

The problem with the numbers argument is that you get into quibbling over whether it should only include actual jihadists that would kill for Islam; or whether it should be expanded to include Muslims who are sympathetic to the jihadists and/or advocate sharia for us infidels.

The latter number is disturbingly high---especially amongst non-US Muslims.

Why? It goes back to square one: There's a problem within Islam.

It's a vapid argument because it's commonly invoked as a means defend to Islam, when the fundamental problem is found within it.

Re: the bolded: according to whom? That Pew poll that was only really done in 3rd world countries?

I never 'defend Islam.' I defend freedom of religion and the right of millions of truly peaceful Muslims to live their lives free from fear of persecution and discrimination.

Rune was always stomping around DCJ.
He swore he was going to "destroy" all my posts in a section called World News about foreign policy/events.
It was a typical Runesque epic failure..
He is incredibly emotional for a Scandinavian, especially Norwegians who are renowned for being unemotional and closed off.

That is a lie.
Jihad doesn't mean war you idiot.
What you really mean to say is it doesn't just mean war against Kaffirs or unbelievers, but in your inimical fashion you neglected to mention that probably through sheer ignorance.
