Yes, some are carrying some water for Obama, out of frustration with Republicans who for a decade now absolutely refuse to admit the truth about the runup to the Iraq war.

Susan Rice’s Viagra Hoax: The New Incubator Babies
On Thursday, US ambassador Susan Rice announced that Libyan government troops were being issued Viagra and told to rape as a terror weapon. She made the comment as part of a debate with another envoy to highlight that “the coalition is confronting an adversary doing reprehensible things.” Several diplomats said Rice provided no evidence for the Viagra allegation, which they said was made in an attempt to persuade doubters the conflict in Libya was not just a standard civil war but a much nastier fight in which Gadhafi is not afraid to order his troops to commit heinous acts.
However, today, MSNBC was told by US military and intelligence officials that there is no basis for Rice’s claims. While rape has been reported as a “weapon” in many conflicts, the US officials say they’ve seen no such reports out of Libya.
This sort of tactic is nothing new. It is reminiscent of the incubator babies story. In the run-up to the first gulf war in 1990, a tearful Kuwaiti girl testified before a congressional committee that she had witnessed Iraqi troops removing premature babies from incubators and stealing the incubators, levaing the babies to die. The story was used to promote the attack on Iraq, and continues to be cited as a reason for going to war in 1991.
However, the story has been widely debunked. The girl who made the allegations turned out to the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador the US, a resident of Washington, DC. Investigations by human rights groups and others found no evidence that the event ever occurred, or that the ambassdor’s daughter was even in Kuwait at the time.

First and foremost, the Libyan people supported Gaddafi and did not want their country bombed back into the stone age. Obama lied .. and I think you've seen the video that proves Obama lied.
Secondly, Obama backed AL Queda terrorists in Libya. Do you doubt that? I can prove that he did.
Libya was a war for its oil resources, plain and simple. No differently than was Iraq .. surrounded by the same kind of deceptions .. based on the exact same foreign policy.
Respectfully, it is the Bush foreign policy .. why do you defend it?

The Viagra claim surfaced in an al-Jazeera report last month from Libya-based doctors who said they had found Viagra in the pockets of pro-Gaddafi soldiers. But it is a jump from that to suggesting Gaddafi is supplying troops with it to encourage mass rape.
Rice is one of the advocates of liberal intervention in the Obama administration, along with the White House foreign affairs adviser Samantha Power, and helped persuade President Obama to intervene in Libya.
A UN diplomat at the closed session on Thursday said: "I was in the room when she mentioned Viagra. The remark did not cause a stir at the time. It was during a discussion about whether there is moral equivalence between the Gaddafi forces and the rebels. She listed human rights abuses by Gaddafi's forces, including snipers shooting children in the street and the Viagra story."
She was trying to persuade doubters that Libya was not just a civil war and that Gaddafi was encouraging human rights abuses. Russia and China have complained that the military strikes on Libya are going beyond the UN mandate.

Bravo... Everybody...democrats AND republicans all talked tough about Saddam in the days before 9/11...but that day changed everything. As you may recall, I was fully supportive of Bush's actions in Afghanistan and even wrote the Department of the Navy to let me back on active duty to help in any way I could to defeat the folks who attacked us. Saddam was not part of that. Iraq was not part of that. OBL was... Al Qaeda was... Not Saddam, not Iraq. I would have vehemently opposed the invasion of Iraq in 2003 if Bill Clinton had been president. Hell... I would have opposed it if JFK or even FDR had been president. My opposition to the war in Iraq never has had a thing to do with partisan politics. Your support for Bush, on the other hand, has EVERYTHING to do with party. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
