Like this great myth of non-citizens voting? National identification databases solve nothing and create new problems. Whatever can be abused will be abused.

But voting, for the most part, is a pointless exercise that brings no real benefit to the voter. If one is here illegally it is far more likely to bring the voter harm, which is why this "problem" does not exist.

This seems level headed. But the truth it's a bad idea because a glut of labor drives down wages, regardless of racial matters.

Read the OP. They are attempting to remove people from voter rolls, i.e., to purge the voter rolls. The claimed intent is to remove non-citizens but they cannot identify one non-citizen that has voted. It should not be acceptable, to anyone, to disenfranchise thousands of voters to fight some phantom problem of non-citizens voting. But, then that is their real purpose.

There would be less of a "glut" than there is now. Those who are here illegally would not be permitted to participate.

If Japan has issues doing that, even with them being an island with miles of water around them, how do you propose we actually "seal" it?

I think you are trying to lower the water rather than to raise the bridge. It doesn't matter how much you dig there, the water level will still be as high. It would be far more efficient to remove the benefit of coming here illegally, it would cost less and have the same result.
