Link us up, you are once again late to the party and starting accusations that have already been covered.Just last week you were saying it was cool because as much oil seaps out of the sea floor naturally every year.

You don't have to read all of them. Just realize that you'll get that a lot when you stop by four days after we already covered a particular argument and think you've come up with something unique.Whatever, I cant be here everyday and I dont have time to read every post.
We hear the talking heads telling us, the leak in the gulf is estimated at 60,000 barrels... 40,000 barrels... they reduced the flow by 20,000 barrels... per day. But do we really have a grasp of exactly how much oil we're talking about? A barrel of crude oil, is 42 u.s. gallons. In the most conservative estimates, there are approximately 1,700,000 gallons of crude spewing into the gulf daily...70,000 gallons per hour... 1,200 gallons per minute.... 20 gallons per second.
The EPA has prohibited several efforts to mitigate the oil...
The MMS has gone into CYA mode...
BP continues to scratch their heads...
BO has given several eloquent speeches...
Congress has held hearings...
But no one has stopped the oil... 1,200 gallons per minute... from spewing into the gulf! In fact, we are told by BP, it will be AUGUST before we can expect the oil flow to be stopped. AUGUST... two months from now... 100,000,000 gallons from now!
But the president is going to meet with the greatest minds, and they are going to talk about this, and discuss ways they may be able to help. He is going to appoint a panel to study this, and of course, BP will be held accountable and made to pay for cleaning this up... but can anyone clean this up? Will the Gulf of Mexico ever be the same? Will the sugar white sands of the gulf coast, ever be the same again?

Again, several people posted about studies that showed that drilling has about the same effect as seepage, with the added benefit of artificial coral reef base.I dont have the energy... dont belive it if you dont want to, but Dixie was making that claim last week.
