The Tides Foundation is an evil and sinister organization founded and funded by Marxists, Communists, and Progressives, to fundamentally transform America into a Socialist State. It is THEIR motivations which should be feared and rejected by anyone who embraces FREEDOM. You can keep carrying the water for these people, as you most certainly will, because you are what they call a "useful idiot" and that's your role in the game. They are depending on your brainwashed mentality to continue fighting for them, and you are doing your best. The problem is, millions and millions of Americans, because of Glenn Beck, are using the Internet and other sources, to inform themselves about the Tides Foundation, and the people behind it. You better get the Internet closed down quickly, if you expect to pull the wool over the eyes of the public.
Now, lets' discuss MLK and "social justice" ...during the mid 1960s, when MLK made this speech, the Progressive Movement had not yet hijacked the phrase. At THAT time, it meant something completely different, it wasn't being used as a code word for social progressivism. It had an entirely different contextual meaning, it applied to the systemic institutionalized racial discriminatory laws in place at the time, which prohibited black people from realizing the same "American Dream" as their white counterparts. That particular "social injustice" was addressed in 1965, and has since been remedied. It is precisely BECAUSE that particular social injustice was so ingrained into the psyche of America, and made such a major impact on our culture, that the progressives hijacked it to advance their objectives. But what you are doing is, comparing apples to oranges.
MLK did not support or condone progressive 'social justice' in the current context. He just didn't! I have read every MLK speech, and without fail, he talks about the realization of a day when blacks and whites could be viewed in equality and walk hand in hand. This is NOT what the 'social justice' of progressivism seeks at all. It is an 'existential' adaptation and perversion of the message King brought forth. The concept is being used by Marxist Communist entities, who want to destroy freedom and the "American Dream" for both whites and blacks, and replace freedom with state control of your life and liberty. In order to do this, they invoke the emotive premise of 'social justice' because they know you, and many like you, are totally ignorant of history. You don't realize they did the same exact thing, used the same exact tactic, to enslave generations of Russians, Pols, Czechs, Germans, Italians, etc. You are oblivious to the MILLIONS of people who were systemically executed in order to implement their authority. In your naive and simplistic mind, the term "social justice" sounds harmless and appealing, you believe you are fighting the "good fight" for something worthwhile and glorious. What you are fighting for, is mass genocide and evil that is unimaginable to most Americans.
