NPR is not God. Don't treat it like one. It does not define any word.

The United States was organized as a federated republic. It is not a democracy.

A democracy has no constitution and no representatives. It is government by popular vote.

A republic has a constitution and has representatives declared by that constitution. They are elected according to the procedures laid out in that constitution. A republic is government by law (a constitution).

The oligarchy YOU want is not a democracy either. An oligarchy is a government by committee...essentially the same as 'dictatorship' by committee. There is no constitution.

DON'T TRY TO HIDE BEHIND THE CONSTITUTION YOU DESPISE!

Believe whatever you need to believe in order to delude yourself enough to sleep at night.

In reality, Trump will win all of those states by a roughly 3-5 point margin. They're all going to Trump; Harris is toast.

The only excuse for counting that takes longer than a day to complete is cheating, plain and simple.

If Florida can get theirs done in a day (just like everybody else did in the past), then everybody else can get theirs done in a day as well. There's NO excuse for taking multiple days to count ballots (except for cheating).

It always takes a while to count the last couple of votes. There is a question about which provisional ballots to count.

If the margin of victory is much less than 1%, those last votes will be very important. If not, then no one really cares that the final counting takes a little while.

Either way, we will know whether the your predictions of a landslide are right (or not) on election night. If trump has a 39.5% lead, I will admit that the alt right poster who predicted a 40% lead was right. I do not care that he was less than a percentage point off. But if the election comes down to a few votes either way, we know that the insane landslide predictions were just wrong.
