If it's any comfort to you, nCOVID-19 strikes hardest at the 60 yo and above cohort. Coincidentally, that demographic also happens to be the same one that includes the majority of Trump supporters.

I did hear of a poll finding that conservatives are disregarding the CDC and WHO rules on Covid-19: They are more likely to gather in large groups, travel,
not socially distance, pick their noses and eat it etc...

Thing is, I don't want anyone to get hit by the infection, even Conservatives who helped turn an outbreak into a pandemic with their constant lies.

What I want is for them to have to own this, own Trump, and own the forthcoming recession for the rest of their lives. And I want them to have loooooooooooooooong lives so they have to live with that shame for a long time.

I want to make Conservatives so fearful of using their voices that they self-isolate and never organize again.

It was your poor judgment that cast you in with Trump.

It was your poor judgment for spreading Trump's lies about the virus, which took it from a mere outbreak into a nationwide pandemic.

It was your poor judgment doing all that, which led to the stock market collapse.

The market wouldn't have collapsed if you had taken this seriously.

But you chose not to take it seriously, so you get all the blame.

Been reading a lot about it and have multiple thoughts (and will preface all this with while I read a lot about the Fed I am far from an expert on them, so there's an element of me speaking out of my *ss here.)

I believe the Fed has introduced a lot of volatility into the economy over the past handful of decades. With that said post great recession they have flooded the market with cheap money to create asset bubbles to create a 'wealth effect' which in theory would have people spend more, the economy improves etc. But bubbles burst and the bigger the bubble the bigger the burst. Thus we've seen them doing everything they can to artificially prolong this weak decade long expansion.

Now it seems they've blown their wad so to speak, using the same tactics today that they used for the bank failures of '08, and we're still in a huge mess (not that they have control over the government basically shutting down the economy).
