Well, we cut taxes to start 2018, and now, 2 years later, we are recession-bound.

Tax cuts didn't help the economy grow and change in a fundamental way so that it could weather storms like this pandemic.
All tax cuts did was hamper the government's ability to respond to the inevitable crisis caused by poor Conservative leadership.
We were always headed for a recession; the poor Conservative response to the pandemic merely sped it up.
Conservatives were hoping the recession would hold off until 2021, when they can blame it on a Democrat and drag all those tricorner hats and teabags out of their attics.
