Be careful what you wish for.

What we needed was someone like Warren Buffet. Trump is a weasel. And he's willfully ignorant. And he's immature. And he's a sociopath. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water on the idea of a businessman in the office. We just have to reach the reality-show-crowd with facts about the candidates. We can't let those impressionable TV viewers remain so uneducated.

Trump was an outlier as far as candidates go. He leveraged his celebrity presence to capture the extremely low information voters.Calling them voters is being generous. These folks were just fans of Donald Trump. They didn't give a crap that he had no experience. He's runs that TV show business! I'mma vote fer him!

Trump also got the votes of people who knew better but couldn't allow themselves to either not vote republican or vote for Hillary.
That's pretty much par for the course. Partisans gonna be partisans.

Buffet wouldn't run if he could, and I believe he has said as much in the last 30 years or so. I am of the conviction that one has to have (or should have) some type of public service experience in conjunction with their other skills to serve as a high political office. Ralph Nader has been the ONLY candidate in my life time with 30 years of public service who was NOT beholden to ANY political party or PAC or special interest.

Well, based on results, you voted for a someone who simply doesn't pay his debts -- and brags about it. Either you didn't know or you knew but didn't care. Pick your poison.

I don't care. Neither do those on welfare. Should they pay their debts, too.

trump has failed at almost everything he's ever touched. If you want a businessman to run the country, you need one without conflicts of interest, and a modicum of intelligence with respect to running a business.

you're really not this clueless right? sarcasim? or? really this clueless

Word is that, Trump's reputation for not paying his lawyers is so bad, he can't find a good personal lawyer for his upcoming impeachment trial...
They all "decline" to represent him...
Lol

From what I hear, the reason he can't get lawyers is because Trump cannot control himself and undercuts the people who argue for him. His lawyers would say one thing, and Trump would say something else that would demolish his case. Just like with the travel ban.

I believe the last true attempt at campaign finance reform was bi-partisan (McCain/Feingold). But as you say, BOTH party majorities resist change. Pity the country didn't fight harder for Bernie.

or for gary johnson. lets face it, us outside the box thinkers are marginalized by those who can't think for themselves.

Word is that you don't have a clue and couldn't get one, if they were free.

Unless you want to show proof of your gossip.

For years, the conservative element has insisted that a conservative businessman (a CEO of a large corporation preferred) needed to be elected to straighten out this country.

Well, we've got Trump. And as a journalist on the panel of one of these Sunday morning political talk shows said, it's a whole other smoke to run a country, because unlike his business, you can't just declare bankruptcy and start over when you screw up!

Government, unlike business, can simply take more from those they think have too much when they screw up. If government had to run itself like a business, they'd be bankrupt in a very short period of time. When all the government has to do is pass a law to bring in more money with taxes when they fuck up, they're already "bankrupt".

The last thing we needed as a country was a piece of shit socialist like Bernie. Just another example of what I said earlier about the government when it fucks up having to do nothing but pass a law to cover for it's ineptness.

It is the pinnacle of irony watching liberal snowflakes who desperately supported the most inexperienced dunce to ever sit in the White House rant ignorant about inexperience being a problem with the Presidency.

Trumps experience running large organizations, taking risk and making successful decisions under pressure far exceeded that of Obama or most Senators who have managed nothing more than a staff.

But you are correct about bankruptcy; when politicians screw up they merely make the American sheeple pay for it with higher taxes as Obama did to the tune of $10 trillion plus.

I do wish you had even the slightest clue of what it is you're whining about.

Another serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

.....because you say so. Now the statement contains a modicum of truth.

Only an idiot can think that the OPINION of a leftist journalist is relevant to anything.

The best thing about Barrett was his death; one less leftist moron polluting the planet with his ignorance.

Translation: another willfully ignorant, intellectually impotent right wing parrot who DID NOT read the book, let alone know who Wayne Barrett was prior to reading his name here.

>hint< If Barrett could not document the material in his book, Trump would have sued the crap out of him for slander (the book was written way before that orange pated oaf started his campaign).<

I would like to see TD logically and factually disprove just one item out of any of Barrett's books or articles on Trump (hold your nose and close your mouth, folks....TD is about to let loose with a bag of wind and smoke!)

Trump's business "genius" required at least 3 declarations of bankruptcy. If it weren't for HIS INHERITED LARGESSE FROM HIS FATHER, Trump would NEVER had made it in real estate to the level he is at now.

Of course, toadies like TD just overlook the myriad of failed (and currently failing) businesses by Trump, his total lack of public service, his willful ignorance of how our Constitution works, foreign affairs, immigration law, etc., etc. Then he parrots some right wing half assed rhetoric about Obama. Pathetic.

Dear dumbass; I don't need to read the prattlings of a leftist journalist to comprehend the spaciousness in liberal talking points about Trump.

I get it; you liberal dumbasses were embarrassed by your idiotic predictions before the election, and now refuse to accept the results of an election and now wish to make a mockery of our electoral process.

But it is all built on a massive lie, which, after nearly a year long investigation, has amounted to NOTHING.

Run along; thinking is not your forte'. Your expertise is parroting the idiot liberal talking points you've been gullibly fed.
