Will anyone here actually defend this sack of shit?

Well, that was a little disappointing, i must say.

From the description i thought this Barney Franks fellow was going to be setting about a student with a rapid fire combination of jabs, hooks and uppercuts.

What we actually get is a student asking a question and the other bloke answering. I can't vouch for the accuracy of either side's statements but am i missing something or is there nothing to defend here?

There is nothing here to defend, nothing of any real substance.

Just desperation.

The student asked a question and did indeed accuse Frank of something he couldn't back up anf Frank did his politician thing.

... end of story.

Just another example of the fact that Fox and its poor dupes have nothing very important to add to the political discourse on an adult level.

Faux News = Homophobic racist. Why we need the Fairness Doctrine.

And of course no other networks carried the story. Franks will NEVER take responsiblity for his role in failing to not only do his job, but in taking advantage of his role for personal gain.

Could it be there is no story? Why else would it be necessary to be deceptive in the thread title?

The poster was not deceptive. It is a story when an elected representative is asked a direct and legitimate question about his personal involvement in what ihas turned out to be one of the single most economic disatsters. Franks, instead of answering the student in a clear and direct manner, practices a smack down. That the student stood his ground was admirable!

NEWS FLASH! MAN BITES DOG!!!

Thanks, it was easy, they make it so. I think you were correct earlier, "desperate" is the operative word.
In addition, Frank has more brains than they can handle on any level. That is why the title of this thread is a deception.

I ussually miss stuff like this cause, to be honest, I rarely ever watch Faux News.

I occasionally tune them in briefly while channel-surfing, usually just enough to bolster the conclusion I've made about the level of "quality" in their reporting. The last time I purposely watched them was the night of the election. It was a great pleasure watching them eat crow and choking on it.

The student had every right to ask the question, as millions of others wanted to know. When Frank tried to avoid the question, the student asked again and Frank became defiant. He looked like a boob IMO.
