That statement is polarizing. That's Obama. Starts out sounding like he as a little wisdom then immediately fucks it up.
There's plenty others "responsible for a lot of this" .

Obama supercharged the polarization of the nation, especially by, but not limited to, weaponizing the Federal government against his political opponents.

Murdoch did it deliberately and for money. There were other mental bomb-throwers like Rush, but Murdoch and Fox institutionalized and monetized hate politics.
