After waiting three weeks to join Truth Social, I just got banned after posting my first comment.
I simply posted this: “There was massive voter fraud in the 2020 election. And despite this, Donald Trump still managed to lose.”
I posted my ban on Twitter @TheFungi669 (a/k/a Captain Obvious). I have received almost 10,000 likes right now. It will take me 20 years of posting at Daily Kos to get that many likes, but I like all of you more than my Twitter followers. Some of the responses to my Truth Social ban were quite interesting. Here are a few of them:
“Wait, I thought it was supposed to be about freedom of speech? They're already banning people?”
“Rule #1 of Truth Social is you cannot question or make derogatory comments about the cult leader. So much for truth and free speech.”
“I think everyone should join Trump Social and compete for the title of “Quickest to be banned by a platform that states it doesn’t ban anyone”. Lol”
”At some point he will just come out and say it. I cheated and there is no way I could have lost. It’s coming soon.”
“I Friended you! Admire you for using your free Speech, this is still America and you have a Right to It!!”
”So truth social doesn’t like truth. Good to know. I won’t make an account.”
”But...but…but…I thought it was going to be totally free speech with no bans!?!? Oh, they banned you because the second half of your statement was true and in true trump fashion truth social disallows truth.”
”I’ve never been so proud of someone being banned.”
”How DID he manage TEN MILLION more votes than in 2016? He wanted to *win* the popular vote I reckon.”
”That should reduce potential membership by 81,000,000.”
”My laugh of the day! I’m going to follow you!”
”You’re doing God’s work!”
What do ya’ll think about Truth Social? Will it survive another month, and will Devin Newness go out to pasture? Maybe to another cow: Moscow.
