bad news for Republicans

Primary voters are different from general election voters. Anyone got the numbers on 2000 to see if the same thing happened in the primaries?

It did, the numbers almost always seem to be half...

I've never understood why either.

***sigh***

Just more desh looking for the 'Ruby Slippers' she was denied access to the 'Wizard' and got lost going down the 'Yellow Brick Road' how sad...:D

But no one MAKES the independents come out and vote. I don't fool myself into thinking this means 76% more people are going to vote for Dems. But taking Damo at face value 76% seems to be more than the usual. No idea what it means but still very interesting.

Oh I don't disagree that there is heightened interest in the Democratic Primary and Dem voters are pretty fired up right now.

When is the last time the Reps didn't have a clear frontrunner going into the larger voting days? Maybe 1996?

If memory serves me correctly they have consolidated behind one candidate pretty early in the process. Which leads many not to vote in the primaries.

But the race was also closer on the Dem side. Whereas McCain was the clear frontrunner going in on the Rep side.

14,600,000 voted Dem

8,200,000 voted Republican

Over 100 million voted in the general election in 2000

Over 120 million voted in the general election of 2004

Are you suggesting that just these 22.8 million will vote in the general this year desh??????

Its a trend.

The primaries are not over yet are they.

Do you really think this will not hold throughout the primaries and is just s fluke?

Sorry but your party will not be able to cheat these numbers away this time.
