Backlash Against Roe Repeal is Just Getting Started

Judaism

In Judaism, views on abortion draw primarily upon the legal and ethical teachings of the Hebrew Bible, the Talmud, the case-by-case decisions of responsa, and other rabbinic literature. The Talmud states that a foetus is not legally a person until it is delivered.

Jewish law does not share the belief common among abortion opponents that life begins at conception, nor does it legally consider the fetus to be a full person deserving of protections equal those accorded to human beings. In Jewish law, a fetus attains the status of a full person only at birth. Sources in the Talmud indicate that prior to 40 days of gestation, the fetus has an even more limited legal status, with one Talmudic authority (Yevamot 69b) asserting that prior to 40 days the fetus is “mere water.”

Islam

All schools of Islamic law agree that abortion is permitted when the mother's life is in danger at any point in pregnancy. After 120 days (fertilization age), abortion is only permitted if the life of the mother is in danger, as after 120 days the fetus is believed to be a living soul.

they based their opinion upon the "scientific" beliefs of a medieval rabbi that the unborn was nothing more than water...........I wonder if science has discovered anything new about the unborn since 1350........

So you would force women to have abortions?

That's more barbaric than forcing them to carry a pregnancy to term.

And how would you decide who to euthanize?

you realize that we are preventing the deaths of millions of children.....some states are saying you may not euthanize.......you're the ones seeking to do it......

AnOldWoman posted OMG! An ABORTION SQUIRREL!!!!!
sad to say, some lib'ruls are actually stupid enough to fall for this argument.....the more intelligent among us realize oaks are not human beings......no such hope for AOW......she's one of the stupid ones......

history has shown us certain people believe that like blacks and Jews, the unborn aren't human beings and may be enslaved or killed at will.......

Yes, but do you speak for all non Christians? I think not.
I've given my opinion. I agree with the justice's decision
making it a state issue. I live in a blue state that is pro
abortion. We might be voting on it sometime this spring(?)

I hope in that case that you vote for freedom rather than repression.

No, obviously I don't speak for anyone other than myself. That being said, the emotional feeling regarding the passenger by its mother is of no scientific or legal importance. Most adults with even just a h.s. education know that there is a point before which it cannot survive -- even with 21st century medical support -- outside the uterus (viability). But forced-birther Reichwingers would call women who miscarry or take a so-called "abortion pill" or have the procedure murderers. It is not logical, it's merely emotional, and therefore has no place in the law.

But it's not a baby when it's a zygote.

Otherwise it would be called a baby instead of a zygote.

I don't waste time with people who talk about zygotes........no zygote has ever been aborted......99% of women don't even know they are pregnant until after the zygote stage of HUMAN development.......(you see what I did there?......I made you look like a fucking idiot........it was fun and easy to do.......I encourage all my friends to do it).........

Do you have children? When did you recognize the pregnancy as your child....your unborn child?

That is an appeal to emotion fallacy.

And there is no such thing as "unborn child". It is an oxymoron.

As to the answer to your question, of course they will say they are expecting a baby and they are attached emotionally to the unborn at any stage of pregnancy.

That isn't janitor science.

I just disproved your unscientific theory. Cells that are an integral part of a human being do deserve life.

Why? Then you're in favor of prosecuting anyone who has her stone-filled gallbladder removed, and the surgeon who removes it? What about a hot appendix? A cancerous tumor and the organ that contains it?

You're really flailing now. Go take a nap; you'll feel better. lol

A cell is an unit. A heart is a collection of interacting cells and muscles whose function is to keep you alive. Cells die all the time and they are replaced.

Basic biology, something you learn in first grade.

So your straw man is burnt down into ashes.

Dr. ExLax claims to be a physician. Most physicians learn that in A&P I. Apparently, like Trump, he paid someone to take his exams.

(Or most likely, he lied about the physician thing ala the fake "teacher.")

And it requires a host body to successfully become a fully realized human being.

There's the rub. I'm surprised at your position on this. You are usually pro-liberty.

Unless of course it involves females, whose only purpose in the Psycho World of STY is to satisfy men and produce new militia members.
