Back in July Biden says we won't leave Afghanistan and it won't collapse

Where? I'm not watching Fox.... So how manymore troops are being deployed?

I do not know but I can agree that he should have given those trying to flee a chance before withdrawing.

And what it shows is that there clearly has been a lot of "interests" in that region. (As if we never knew that)

Lord, I love to see BidenPresident and evince arguing. Two idiots cat fighting with each while never saying a single word that matters. Cluck cluck.

Here you go dick sucker.

On July 8, Biden discussed the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, swatting back concerns that a Taliban takeover of the country would be "inevitable." The president explicitly said that Americans would not see images reminiscent of the U.S. evacuation from Vietnam at the end of that war in 1975—when photos of helicopters evacuating people from the roof of the U.S. embassy in Saigon were widely circulated in the media.

According to a Brown University study in 2019, which has looked at war spending in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, the US had spent around $978bn (their estimate also includes money allocated for the 2020 fiscal year).

Are you talking about the video? Biden made very clear, coherent comments at that presser.

Apparently you guys thought the Taliban could be trusted to keep their word on the withdrawal agreement. I thought we were done with trusting any Afghan officials after Karzai shafted us. Read what he said just three months ago.

"In May 2021, Karzai spoke with German newspaper Der Spiegel, where he expressed his sympathy with the Taliban, criticized the role of the United States in Afghanistan and praised the role of the European Union, at the same time, saying that the future of Afghanistan relies heavily on neighbor Pakistan.[SUP][142][/SUP] He also considered the Taliban "victims of foreign forces" and said that Afghans were being used to be "each against the other."[SUP][143][/SUP]
