As you can surely recall, there were lots of shortages in the Trump era. There were points in 2020 when people were wiping their butts with coffee filters and sanitizing their hands with vodka, because toilet paper and hand sanitizer couldn't be found. Meanwhile, people who wanted to protect themselves and others with masks had no access to N95's, and wound up having to MacGyver a cloth mask.

But, the real test of a president isn't whether a supply chain issue happens (we aren't a command-and-control economy where the president is responsible for making sure the right goods are stocked), but rather how the president responds when there is either an acute emergency shortage, or a chronic problem. Biden is taking strong action to address this shortage, which is why you don't see people marching with pitchforks over it.

There was no out of control inflation or crime or borders or food shortages when President Trump was in office.

We were not near to a recession either.

Possibly, if it resulted in contamination. Similarly, the lack of sanitizer and masks could have resulted in babies in hospitals to the extent they became exposed to germs that they otherwise would have been sheltered from.

According to the 539 polling average, Biden's approval rating is now up about seven-tenths of a point from its low. I wouldn't call that "soaring," but if you do, I'm not interested in a semantic argument.

It makes me wonder why the parents didn’t contact their pediatrician before they ran out of formula. If your children’s diet is so restricted, I will Joe have contacted my pediatrician. It’s most unfortunate their children were hospitalized. I heard another mother on TV stating she was receiving special formula from her pediatrician.
