Average gallon of gas price. $5.01

No shit.

It's high everywhere so blaming US policy is ignorant and part of a Trumpian lie.

https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/

Canada $6.754
Mexico $4.551
UK $8.325
Germany $7.886
Australia $5.363
The States of America are not any of those other countries... And did you notice anything about those countries and their prices?? Did you notice how all of them (except for Mexico) are following the "Green New Deal" agenda? Did you then notice how Mexico's gas is CHEAPER than all the "Green New Deal" agenda-chasing countries??

The problem, in part, is the "Green New Deal" agenda (iow, government energy policy).

BTW the average price of E85 in Texas is $3.73 so if you add 20% for mileage reduction for running alcohol it would be the equivalent to paying $4.65 regular and you can find regular for that in Texas.
Same here in Wisconsin, but with slightly higher prices...

Most E85 around here is at least $4+/gallon (if not higher)... Add 20% and that would be at least $4.80/gallon, which is roughly what regular is going for.

Yes the US is producing less than when Trump was in office prepandemic.

Because, prior to Putin's attack on Ukraine, the oil companies had drawn down production due to the pandemic reducing employees and less demand as most Americans voluntarily sheltered in place compared to 2019 before Trump fucked up the US COVID response.

:)

There aren't many E-85 stations available around me, and of the one's that are, they tend to cost A LOT more than you are quoting... The cheapest one is $3.36/gal... The rest of them are $4+/gal, so not really much cheaper than regular and regular is better.

I've got plenty out by me (any Kum and Go always has them). That's a lot more than any station by me.

Someone caused that?
Yes I have explained it several times here, halting leasing in Anwar, Halting leasing in the Gulf, halting fracking on federal land, new EPA rules on pipelines, denying the building of collection pipelines, regulation that result in decreasing financing for exploration all changes that the Biden administration . The price of oil is decided in the futures market. When they think production may not meet demand the price of oil rises.

Jarod likes to ask the same question over and over mindlessly, even though it's already been answered. Several Democrat dimwits here do that.

Bullshit, but not surprising, pretty obvious the right hasn't a clue regarding basic economics, and a fact they surely don't understand is that the Oil Companies aren't national, they can pull all the oil out of say the Gulf that they want but there is no guarantee it is going to be sent domestically

The price of crude is a global issue. If Racial Jungles Joe had not banned the XL pipeline, it would be lower.

Two words: Free Market.

It's foolish to believe that US oil companies would sell gasoline to you for $2 when it's selling for $8 in Europe.

The only way it would work your way is if the Federal government nationalized all the oil companies and forced them to sell only to Americans. Is that what you want? A stronger Federalist government?

You think Oil is truly a 'free market"?

$8 in Europe? ... about half of that is big gov't taxes.

Yes.

So? Free market rules still apply. The oil companies are making record profits. Why are you against capitalism?

Socialist Russia is making record oil profits. Expected to be $320 billion in profit for 2022.

Why are you sooo stupid?
