In British Columbia we have government run vehicle insurance and there are none of those kind of problems. And in fact, the private companies are allowed to compete for the 'gravy' part of the insurance but can't. This is socially responsible government in action, even though the rabid right keep trying to destroy it.
Another example of capitalism with a blend of socialist policies being the answer. Sooner or later the US needs to come to understand this and then it will throw out it's unworkable form of capitalism that doesn't serve it's people.
