I read a number of reports on this now.
You had a bunch of radical Leftist idiots camping out on a piece of land where the city of Atlanta was going to put a police training facility. The police came to move the squatters out. One of them, opened fire on the police hitting one officer in the abdomen. The police returned the favor, killing the asshole. Several others resisted and were arrested. A few decided to surrender peacefully and were allowed to leave.
Seems to me, that this fuckstick, radical Leftist, asswipe thought he was invincible and proven wrong by his death. Fuck him.
This incident was then misrepresented in the MSM (aka as false news) causing other radical Leftist groups like Antifa, to riot in downtown Atlanta. The result will almost certainly be lots of injured people, and tens of millions in damage. In terms of overall cost, this will easily exceed anything the radical Right has done in the last six months, possibly a year or more...

My daughter and son-in-law lived in Atlantic Station, an area of condos and a large high rise in downtown Atlanta. It was a safe and lovely area.
The demographics changed and crime increased to the point that they moved 30 miles away.

I attended a conference in downtown Atlanta 15 years ago. I learned very quickly to stay inside my hotel.
Seriously you can’t walk more than 20 feet out the door without being shaken down.
That is a scary place.
I wrote the organizers of the conference to let them know how unsafe it was there.
