At the Boston Tea Party....

The Boston Tea Party activists were ENGLISH, they were upset at action ENGLAND was taking, they destroyed property belonging to ENGLISH corporations.

I dont love Europe and I do love America, but I dont think America is, or ever has been perfect. It is better than its ever been.

I'm pretty sure that 100 years ago the local governments would not have been requiring permits to have a yard sale, or to fine people for a visible trash container in front of their garage door. I'm pretty sure that 100 years ago the state governments weren't requiring permission slips to travel across the country, or out of the country, in any conveyance that they chose to travel in. I'm pretty sure that 100 years ago free Americans could acquire whatever weapon they chose to in order to fulfill their obligation to keep a free state, whereas now you have to be wealthy, connected, part of the ruling elite to do so. I'm pretty sure that 100 years ago you could manufacture the liquor of your choice and sell it to your neighbors in the surrounding areas without having the ATF raid your home and kill you and your dogs.

No, America is not better than it's ever been.

There are a lot of things America was 100 years ago, and for example liquor was illegal in most of the United States. Black people had almost no rights and women were property of their husbands. Nobody fines anyone for a visible trash container unless you agreed to those rules when you moved into a home owners association. Check yourself.. America might have been better for a certain type of white man, but not for the rest of us.

You should move out of that Conservative hell hole... We don't have that problem in Florida. Unless you do like countless conservatives and move into a very restrictive HOA.

All I know, is here in Palm Beach County, the most liberal county this side of California... we dont have that problem.

law enforcement is racist......they are blue and everyone else isn't. and it's not about shooting violent criminals........it's about several things which include shooting non violent people suspected of crimes followed closely by no accountability for these actions. Surely you are not of the mindset that law enforcement is a hard job and that these 'highly trained' individuals should be allowed to make mistakes which end in death or serious injury, right?

My understanding is that their average training is highly overrated. That being said, it is a difficult job (it definitely blows aside my comfy air defense job in the Guard). I should ask, what kinds of occupations do you consider to be difficult?

I was an Air Traffic Controller during my years as a Marine. Immensely more difficult. law enforcement doesn't even break the top 10 in most dangerous jobs.
