AT&T Cotton Bowl thread

Manzeil is the best QB I have seen in a long time. He runs as well as Newton or Tebow, and throws better than either of them.

Agreed. This guy is special. (And only a Freshman!) The only way I have seen anyone have success in slowing him down, was to keep him on the sidelines, but once he gets the ball, that proves difficult to do. After watching his performance in the Cotton Bowl, I think A&M might actually be the best team in college football right now. I mean, this guy made Oklahoma lay down in the corner like a whipped puppy in the 3rd, and start trying to run the clock out! Nick Saban and Company had to mastermind a new defensive game plan on the fly for him, or they might have beaten Bama by 40!

Post-bowl... I would love to see A&M have to now play Oregon. The winner could play the winner of the Alabama/Notre Dame game? But what about Louisville? They laid the smack down to the #3 team in the country! It would be great to see a playoff in a year like this, because there is so much great football never being played.

I have to say, I look forward to seeing more of Teddy Bridgewater. He may have the opportunity to challenge Johnny for the next Heisman! I haven't seen such consistency in the short passing game in some time!!

I think stopping Manziel will be tough. He scrambles better than anyone I have seen. In the game against Bama, he was caught and almost fumbled, then he squirted out and threw a TD pass. There are plenty of running QBs that have been tough. But none of them threw the ball as well as this kid does.

He did eat Florida's lunch, thats for sure. All season long Louisville got no respect. They earned it in a bowl game though.
